Katie R. Thompson

A graveside service for Katie Robinson Thompson, 80 of Lancaster will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 10, 2013, in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Heath Springs. The Revs. Karen Ballard and Ray Robinson will officiate. Mrs. Thompson died Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at her home. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Vancy Cleveland and Kate Payne Robinson. She retired as a registered nurse and was a member of Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church, Liberty Hill. Surviving are her husband, Thomas Neil Thompson of Lancaster; a daughter, Jane Renee Thompson and her friend, John Seegars of Kershaw; 2 sons, Richard L. Thompson and his former wife Sandra Fletcher Thompson of Liberty Hill, Kevan N. Thompson and his wife Linda of Heath Springs; 3 grandchildren, Mindy E. Baker and her husband Joshua, Katherine S. Thompson and her friend Gatlin Jenkins and Dylan Hammond; 3 great grandchildren, Joseph Allan Cox, Nataleigh E. Baker and Kirsten L. Jenkins; 2 brothers, James Robinson and his wife Shirley of Rock Hill, Rev. Ray Robinson and his wife Donna of Fort Lawn ; 3 sisters, Margie Ballard of Kershaw, Marcene Fields and her husband Bill of Hampton, GA and Esther Kennington and her husband Gordon of Kershaw.
