Kathy A. Payne

A funeral service for Kathy A. Payne, 57 of Lancaster, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2015, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Rev. Jackie Jenkins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Kathy died Thursday, February 25, 2015, in Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Ethel Greene Payne. She loved music, movies and watching TV, especially Andy Griffith. Surviving are two sisters, Janice (Marvin) West of West Columbia, Debra (Mike) Funderburk of Lancaster; five brothers, Robert (Diane) Payne of Kershaw, Dave (Sonya) Payne of Jefferson, Ron (Lisa) Payne, George (Geanne) Payne and Paul (Paula) Payne all of Kershaw, numerous nieces and nephews and special caregivers, Francina Gripper and Brenda Johnson. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and James Edward Payne. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Saturday, February 28, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home of her sister, 2203 Catoe Rd., Lancaster.
