Kathryn Horne Woodward

A funeral service for Kathryn Horne “Kathy” Woodward, 65 of Heath Springs, will be held Thursday, October 29, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home. The Rev. Kelvin Hinson and Pastor Cotton Pate will officiate.

Mrs. Woodward, widow of the late Thomas Anthony "Tommy" Woodward, Sr., died Sunday, October 25, at her home. Born in Charlotte, NC. She was the daughter of Frankie Neal Horne and the late Lavoyd Horne. Mrs. Woodward was a former employee of Springs Industries and had been a truck driver. She was a graduate of Heath Springs High School and a member of Frontline Biker Church. Mrs. Woodward loved taking special care of her great granddaughter, Destinee and her dogs.

She is survived in addition to her mother, by a daughter, Susan Woodward Hilton and her husband Timothy; a son, Tony Woodward all of Heath Springs; 6 grandchildren, Erica, Meagan, Dustin, Devin, Allen and Jacob Woodward; 3 great grandchildren, Bryson Woodward, Destinee Lucas and Aubree Woodward and a daughter in-law, Amy Woodward. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Tolbert and a son, Jeffery Woodward.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday, October 28, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter-in-law, 1548 Flint Ridge Road, Heath Springs.
