Kathleen Anderson Young

Funeral services for Kathleen Anderson Young, 97, will be held Saturday, June 23, at 10:00 am in Beaverdam Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 22, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in Baker Funeral Home.

Mrs. Young, widow of James D. “J.D.” Young, Sr., died at her home on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. Born in Cassatt, she was the daughter of Ernest and Sula Mae James Anderson. Mrs. Young was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church. She loved to sew, garden, and travel.
Surviving are a son, David W. Young; 20 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren, and 12 great- great grandchildren and a brother, Ralph Anderson. She was predeceased by a daughter, Doris Y. Peach; sons, Joseph Racine Young and James D. “Sonny Boy” Young, Jr.; 1 sister; 6 brothers.
