Katherine T. Taylor

A funeral service for Katherine T. Taylor, 97 of Kershaw, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2015, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Abney Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Taylor, widow of Clyde Taylor died Sunday, August 16, at Lancaster Convalescent Center, Lancaster. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late John James and Leacy Haywood Taylor. She retired from Springs Industries and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are four daughters; Betty Jean Neal Reeves and her husband Elliott of Kershaw, Leacy Coates of Kershaw, Reba Coats of Lancaster and Annie Cauthen of Kershaw; twelve grandchildren; a number of great and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Drucilla McManus and her husband Jerry of Lancaster and Gussie Keziah of Great Falls. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah T. Hough and ten brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, August 18, prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 12:30 o’clock p.m. and other times at the home of her daughter, 1679 Three C’s Rd., Kershaw.
