Julius Milton Huckabee, 89, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Monday, November 16, 2020, at his home. Born in Rock Hill, S.C., he was a son of the late Julius Milton Huckabee, Sr. and Lucille Hamrick Huckabee. He was a painter with Jack Jordan Construction for many years. Mr. Huckabee was a faithful member of DeKalb Baptist Church, where her served in various capacities. He loved country and gospel music. Mr. Huckabee served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He had served as past master of Flat Rock Lodge # 178.
Surviving are his loving wife of 70 years, Irma Cauthen Huckabee; 4 daughters, Joyce H. (Bobby) Young, Gail H. (Gene) Branham, Cheryl H. (Steve) Helms and Glenda H. Singleton and her fiancé Wayne Hinson; 10 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Mary Blackmon, Betty Jordan and Ruth Rush.
A private graveside service will be held in Damascus United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Vince Earls will officiate. Burial will follow with Military honors and Masonic rites.
