Julie B. Owens

Julie DeEtte Bernard Owens, age 65, of Westville, S.C., passed away, Friday evening, May 24, 2024, at Pruitt Health, Ridgeway, S.C. Born in Myrtle Beach, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Darrell Edward “Sparkie” Bernard and Ruby Pittman Bernard. She was a graduate of Anderw Jackson High School, Class of 1977, a homemaker and a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Westville, S.C. Julie loved all animals. She also enjoyed listening to music and cooking.

Julie is survived by her husband of 46 years, Richard Lloyd Owens, Sr.; 2 children Richard Lloyd Owens, Jr., and Rebecca DeEtte Owens and 2 special extra children, Amanda Hardin, and Britt Jennings.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday morning, May 28, 2024, in Kershaw City Cemetery, Kershaw, S.C.

Preacher Cotton Pate will officiate. Burial will follow in the cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service in the cemetery.

Memorials in memory of Julie may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
