Julia Lynn Watkins

Julia Lynn Barrett Watkins, age 77, of Bethune, S.C., passed away, Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia, S.C. She was born in the Buffalo community of Kershaw, S.C. on July 11, 1947. She was a daughter of the late Claude Barrett and Mamie Wright Barrett. Mrs. Watkins was married to the late James “Jimmy” Watkins. She was a homemaker and had attended Church of God, Bethune, S.C. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. 

She is survived by her son, Troy Watkins and his wife, Faye; 2 daughters, Tammy W. Goff and her husband, Wayne and Amy Sue Watkins (Ricky). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: 21 great grandchildren and 2 sisters, Betty Jo Ingram and Sandra McDougald.

The family held a private visitation for the family, Tuesday morning, January 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw, S.C.

No formal services will be held.
