Judy Cowan Payne

Judy Cowan Payne, 66 of Kershaw, formerly of Lancaster, died Monday, June 1, 2015, in Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill. Born in Windsor, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Annie Arant Cowan. Mrs. Payne had retired from Duracell after 21 years of service and was a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church, Lancaster. Surviving are two daughters, Sheila P. Williams of Lancaster, and Kendra P. Criminger (John) of Kershaw; son Shannon Payne and his fiancé, Crystal Pate of Lancaster; 6 grandchildren; three sisters, Doris Watkins of Rock Hill and Carolyn Haile of Lancaster. She was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Watkins. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 4, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in Pleasant Dale Baptist Church, Lancaster, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Jesse Adams will officiate.
