Joyce R. Horton

Joyce Ann Robinson Horton age 80 of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Saturday evening, October 21, 2023, in Springdale Health Care Center, Camden, S.C. Born in Kershaw, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Marion “Pete” Faulkenberry and Olivia Godwin Faulkenberry. She retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Pineview Baptist Church. She loved to shop and spend time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by 2 sons, Wilbur L. Horton, Jr. and his wife, Sherry, and Jay Lynn Horton all of Kershaw, S.C.: 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great -great grandson and her sister, Marilyn Faulkenberry Price of Richburg, S.C. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Lee Horton, Sr.; 2 sons, Francis “Puddin” Horton and Lonnie M. Horton and her daughter-in-law, Patty Horton.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2023, in Pineview Baptist Church Cemetery, Kershaw, S.C. Rev. Dr. Trent McLaughlin will officiate. The burial will follow in the cemetery.

The family will be at the home of Wilbur L. Horton, Jr. to greet friends.

Friends may pay their respects, Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home.
