Joseph Terry “Redneck” Davis, age 68 of Bishopville, S.C. passed away peacefully, Friday morning, December 20, 2024. Terry was born in Bishopville, S.C. He was a son of the late Heyward Fulton Davis, Sr. and Myrtle Lee Boykin Davis.

After his retirement from the DuPont Company, he started Davis Tree Service and operated until he experienced health problems. He was a faithful member of Community Bible Church for 50 plus years. His greatest joy in life, other than spending time with his family, was to spend an afternoon sitting in a tree stand or on the bank of a fishing pond. He always said it gave him a sense of peace just admiring God’s creations. The Red Hill Community has lost a good man and friend.

He is survived by 2 sons, Jacob (Kayla) Davis, Drew (Devon); a daughter, Emily (Jesse) Buchner; his brother, Fulton (Ruth) Davis; 7 grandchildren, Avery, Heyward, Theodora, Luna Claire, Acie, Everly and Lily; his nephew, Matt (Jennifer) Davis; 2 great nieces; 2 great- great nieces and 1 great- great nephew and numerous cousins and friends.

The family will greet friends on Monday, December 23, 2024, from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service in the church Fellowship Hall.

Funeral services will be held immediately following the service at 2:00 P.M. in the sanctuary of Community Bible Church. Rev. Jerry Peacock will officiate. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Davis may be made to Community Bible Church, 5711 Red Hill Road, Camden, S.C. 29020.
