Johnny Leroy Hunter

Johnny Leroy Hunter, age 64, of Lancaster, S.C., passed away, Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Lexington Hospice House, Lexington, S.C. Born in Lancaster, S.C. he was a son of the late Jerry Baxter Hunter and Barbara Ann Stroud Hunter. Mr. Hunter was an automotive mechanic.

He is survived by his children, April Hunter (Joel), Donna Hunter (Able), Brenda Booth (Ray), Joyce Tolbert (K.J.) and Luke Hunter (Madison); 8 grandchildren, Maliyah, Wesliey, Ian, Damien, Nathan, Hunter, Ally and Kolton; his brother, Jerry Hunter and 2 sisters, Michelle Harley and Lisa Tucker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Rabon Hunter; 2 brothers, Barry Hunter and Chucky Hunter; a niece, Stephanie Johnson and a nephew, Charles Hunter.

The family will receive friends, Sunday, August 4, 2024, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at New Life Freewill Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. following the visitation in the church sanctuary. Rev. Doug Pate will officiate.
