Johnnie Mae Hornsby

Funeral services for Johnnie Mae Hornsby, 84, of Kershaw will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Rev. Gary Harris will officiate. Burial will follow in the Center Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Hornsby, widow of the late Albert “Buck” Hornsby, died Monday, July 23, in McCoy Nursing Center, Bishopville, S.C., she was born in Bishopville and retired from Caro-Knit Manufacturing, Jefferson, S.C. She was also a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are a granddaughter, a great granddaughter and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, John Edward Blackmon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
