John 'Jack' Priefer

Funeral services for John Erman “Jack” Priefer, 78, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 29, 2011, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Rev. Todd Gandy will officiate. Mr. Priefer will be cremated following the funeral service. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late John Frances and Evalyn Georgia James Priefer. Mr. Priefer died Saturday, August 27, in Agape Senior Primary Care, Rock Hill. Mr. Priefer was a former shipping manager with United Air Freight. He loved the outdoors, working in his shop and was of Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife; Dorothy Grayce of the home, 3 children, a sister, 2 step-sons and a number of grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Midway Baptist Church, 7760 Old Jefferson Highway, Kershaw, S.C. 29067 or Agape Hospice, 1317 Ebenezer Rd., Rock Hill, S.C. 29732. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
