John Charles Parker

John Charles Parker, age 76, of Lancaster, S.C, passed away, Tuesday afternoon, October 10, 2023, at Hospice of the Foothills, Forest City, N.C. Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was a son of the late John Rance Parker and Pauline Robinson Parker. Mr. Parker had retired from Siemens Corporation. He served his county in the United States Air Force and attended Second Baptist Church, Lancaster, S.C. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing golf and fishing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Paulette Shute Parker; 2 sons, Jason E. Parker and his wife, Ilean of Lancaster, S.C.; Steven K. Parker and his wife, Mica of Heath Springs, S.C.; 3 grandchildren, Southerlyn Grace Parker, Shaw Parker and Mazie Grace Parker; 2 sisters, Paula Harris and her husband, Frank of Columbia, S.C. and Patricia Sistare and her husband, Dennis of Myrtle Beach, S.C. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Parker.

A private service for the family will be held in Ridgeview Cemetery, Heath Springs, S.C. Interment will be held in the cemetery columbarium.

Memorial remembrances in memory of Mr. Parker may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
