A service to celebrate the life of Joel Todd McLemore, 29, of Lancaster, will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Saturday, October 7, at Baker Conference Center, 105 N. Minor St., Kershaw. The Revs. John Rogers and Brian Saxon will conduct the service. A private interment will be held in the Kershaw City Cemetery.
The family will greet friends immediately following the celebration of life service at Baker Conference Center and other times at the home, 1184 Stroupe Rd., Lancaster.
Memorial contributions in memory of Joel may be made to the Buford High School Athletic Booster Club, 4290 Tabernacle Road, Lancaster, S.C. 29720.
Joel passed away Thursday, September 28, at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, N.C. Born in Lancaster, he was a son of Joseph C. and Sherry Anderson McLemore. Joel attended the University of South Carolina, Columbia and worked in the construction industry. He loved to play golf, fish and hunt. Joel played football and baseball at Buford High School. He was also talented artist, who loved to draw.
Surviving are his parents of the home, a sister, Shannon Parker (Kevin) Murphy of Woodruff; 2 brothers, Michael J. (Sherri) McLemore and Ryan A. (Dana) McLemore all of Kershaw; 5 nephews, Eric, Alex, Tanner, Kaleb and Kohen; 2 nieces, Anna and Kylah. He is also survived by his special friend, Lauren Faile and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mac and Katherine McLemore and his maternal grandparents, Earle and Annie Mae Anderson.
