Jo R. Ogburn

A funeral service for Jo Lynn Estridge Robertson Ogburn, 84 of Kershaw will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Thursday, July 30th, 2015, in Midway Baptist Church. The Rev. Todd Gandy will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Ogburn passed away Monday morning, July 27th. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late Joseph William and Alice Neal Estridge. She was faithful member of Midway Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and was chairman of the food committee. Mrs. Ogburn was a loving mother and a homemaker. She was a proud graduate of Flat Creek High School, Class of 1949 and loved being patriotic. She was first married to the late Clyde Floyd Robertson and second to the late John William Ogburn.

Surviving are 4 children, Joseph (Donna) Robertson of Kershaw, Lynn (Bryan) Catoe of Norfolk, VA, Dale Robertson of Lancaster and Tammy Coan of Kershaw; 4 step-children, Donald (Linda) Ogburn of Pelzer, Derial (Katherine) Ogburn of Lugoff, Alicia Hinson of Jefferson and Patty (Clifford) Snipes of Kershaw; 20 grandchildren, Natalie, Madilynn, Jessica, Lance, Amanda, Jess, Michael, Melani, Ashley, Ryan, Brad, Scott, Deanna, Merideth, Lauren, Tracy, Jamie, Rebecca, Amanda and Eric, and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Joseph William Estridge, Jr., John Estridge, Ferris Estridge, Donald Estridge, and a granddaughter, Emily Rose Robertson.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 29th, from 6:00 to 8:00 o’clock p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 7605 Old Jefferson Highway, Kershaw.
