Jessie Sims Payne

Funeral services for Jessie Sims Payne, 80, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 3, 2008, in Flat Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Revs. Bart Miles and Robert Jeske will officiate.

Mrs. Payne died Monday, December 1, 2008, in Kershaw County Medical Center, Camden. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Boston and Lillie Faile Sims. Mrs. Payne was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church and a homemaker.Mrs. Payne was the widow of Lonnie John Payne.

Surviving are three daughters; Mrs. Ted (Linda) Adams of Lexington, Mrs. Joe (Diane) Martin of Kershaw, Mrs. Thomas (Brenda) Sutton of Salisbury, N.C., six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, four sisters; Shirley Eniz of Chester, Sue Small of Chester, Ida Horne of Pageland, Lou Pate of Lancaster, two half sisters and one half brother. She was preceded in death by a son; John Derek Payne, a grandson; Steven Estridge, three sisters and two brothers.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, December 2, 2008, from 5 to 7 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home.
