Jessie Mae C. Small

Funeral services for Jessie Mae Catledge Small, 91, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 24, 2008, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Doug Martin will officiate.

Born in Jefferson, she was the daughter of the late Herman Clarence and Sallie Hunter Catledge. Mrs. Small died Sunday, December 21, 2008 in the Kershaw County Medical Center, Camden. She retired as a knitting machine supervisor for Caro-Knit, Inc. She was a faithful member of Kershaw Church of God.

Surviving are her children; Robert Lee Hopkins of Mesa, AZ., James Clarence Hopkins, Donald Carson Hopkins, both of Kershaw, Mrs. David (Beaulah Mae) Robinson, of Jefferson, Mrs.Bill (Marguerite) Thompson of Kershaw, Mrs. Sam (Linda) Snipes of Kershaw, Mrs. Joyce Truesdale-Turner of Kershaw and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren She was preceded in death by a son; Leroy Hopkins, Jr. and a daughter Barbara Ann Estrada.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, December 23, 2008, from 5 to 7 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Linda Snipes, 4066 Travellers Rd., Kershaw.
