Graveside services for Jesse Maxwell Crenshaw, 96, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 10, 2009, in the Kershaw City Cemetery with Military Honors. The Revs. Jesse Hegler and Hugh McKinney will officiate.

Mr. Crenshaw died December 21, 2008. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Crenshaw and was married to the late Mary Louise Croxton Crenshaw. He was a retired businessman and merchant for 40 years in Kershaw, a Founding Trustee of Andrew Jackson High School, a Deacon of First Baptist Church, and an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Crenshaw served his country during World War II as a medic with the 45th Division which made the invasion of both Anzio (Italy) and Southern France.

Surviving are three sons; Ronald Bruce Crenshaw and his wife Marie of Huntington Beach, CA, Dr. David Lee Crenshaw and his wife Helen of Lumberton, NC and Rev. Dan Carroll Crenshaw of Phoenix, AZ, seven grandchildren; Cherie Ichinose of Mission Viejo, CA, Blake Crenshaw of Denton, TX, Carol Ann Mace of O'Fallon, IL, Charles Crenshaw of Louisville, KY, Denise Stephens of Huntington Beach, CA, Scott Millar of White Lake, MI, Brian Ivey of Raleigh, NC and twelve great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service in the Fellowship Hall of First Presbyterian Church, Kershaw.
