A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jerry Raymond Copper, 75, of Kershaw, S.C., will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Monday, December 4, 2017, in the sanctuary of Laurel Hill Baptist Church. Rev. Larry Nunnery will officiate. A committal service will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.

Mr. Copper died Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at KershawHealth, Camden, S.C. Born in Fairbank, Iowa, he was a son of the late Fay Alexander Copper and Amanda E. Jacob Copper. Mr. Copper served in the US Navy retiring after 24 years of service as a Chief Petty Officer. He also retired from Motorola and from his business A-One Carpet, Upholstery, Restoration and Cleaning. Mr. Copper was an avid reader and attended Laurel Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Deborah Davis Copper of the home; a daughter, Janie (Grant) Henderson of Anchorage, AK; 2 sons, Todd M. (Catherine) Copper of Morgantown, IN; Troy M. (Kristen) Copper of San Angelo TX; a step-son, Justin R. Young of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Zak Decker-Henderson, Danis Henderson-Davis and her husband Caleb Davis, Kierian Henderson, Gavin Henderson, Tyler Evanson, Trevor Evanson, Ashley Copper, Nicholas Copper, Bailee Robison-Copper and Chloee Robison-Copper ; great grandchildren, Taylor Eileen Evanson, Madelynn Luci Davis and Madison Copper and 2 brothers, George Copper of Bremerton, WA and Donald Copper of Lafarge, WI.

The family will receive friends following the committal service at the cemetery.
