Jerry L. Williams

Jerry Lowery Williams, age 93, of Camden, S.C. passed away, Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Karesh Health and Rehab at Beechwood, Camden, S.C. Born in Chesterfield County, S.C. she was a daughter of the late Thomas Frank Lowery and Roma Harriett Langley Lowery. Ms. Williams was a former administrative assistant and a member of First Baptist Church Columbia, S.C. She was a faithful choir member at her church and an avid Clemson football fan.

She is survived by her son, Sherrill Williams of Camden, S.C.; 3 grandchildren, Christy (Justin) Goodwin, Carrie Denton, and Jacquie (Sammy) Buckalew); 9 great grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Cathy Williams and 2 sisters, Maxine (Walter) Baker of Kershaw, S.C. and Sue Neal of Columbia, S.C. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Rodger Williams; a grandson, Ryan Williams; a daughter-in-law, Molly Williams and siblings, Alma Catoe, Atha Lee Mangu, Kathryn McLemore, Kenneth Lowery, Harold Lowery and Leonard “Toby” Lowery and her husband, William Lewis “Dub” Williams.

A memorial service to remember her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, in Baker Conference Center, 104 N. Minor Street, Kershaw, S.C. Rev. Richard Humphries will officiate.

The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
