A funeral service for Jerry Blake “J.B.” Munn, 77, of Camden, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 27, 2012, at Wateree Baptist Church, Camden. Rev. Bobby James will officiate. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Mr. Munn died Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at the Rice Estate, Columbia. Born in Kershaw County, he was the son of the late William Heyward and Hattie Rodgers Munn. Mr. Munn was Co-Founder and Vice President of Gateway Supply Company. He was a faithful member of Wateree Baptist Church, an avid Gamecock Sports Fan and a graduate of Mt. Pisgah High School. Mr. Munn served as past president of the Executive Association of Greater Columbia, former member of Five Points Rotary Club, former deacon of Bayview Baptist Church, Columbia, and coached DixieYouth Baseball at Belvedere. Surviving are his wife, Rosa Lee Holden Munn of the home; 3 children, Kimberly Martin and her husband David of Columbia, Darrell Blake Munn and his wife Paula of Camden, Dina Munn Latham of Columbia; four grandchildren, Gabrielle Hayes Munn of Columbia, Justin Blake Munn and his wife Saskia of Mt. Pleasant, Hannah Jade Latham of Columbia, Hayleigh Ashton Martin of Columbia; four sisters, Velma Shealey, Lorene Rider, Joann Vogel, Joyce McDonald and a brother, Floyd Dixon. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Munn. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the Church Family Life Center. Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, Midlands Area Office, 3223 Sunset Blvd., Suite 100, West Columbia, S.C. 29169.
