Jeffery 'Bess' M. Roberts

Funeral services for Mrs. Jeffery ”Bess” Maree Roberts, 67, of Heath Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Baker Funeral Home. Rev. Donald Tillman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery, Heath Springs, S.C. Mrs. Roberts, loving wife of Rev. Gary Roberts, died Thursday, October 18, at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital, Columbia. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Jeff and Alma Stacks Maree. She was a homemaker, enjoyed collecting coins, reading, singing, cooking and playing with her grandchildren. She was also a member of Heath Springs Second Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are 3 daughters; Kimberly Eichman (Gary) of Summerville, Susan Kirk (Danny) of Heath Springs, Sarah Blackmon of Wisconsin , a son; Gary Roberts, Jr. (Tammy) of Lancaster, 11 grandchildren; Adam Eichman, Brittany Holden, Catlin Rollings, Johnathan Doolittle, Brandon Holden, April Roberts, Ashley Roberts, Stallion Blackmon, Samantha Roberts, Maggie Blackmon and Matthew Kirk, 2 sisters; Dreamer Jacobs of Newberry, Deborah Greer of Rock Hill, 2 brothers; Jimmy R. Maree of Lancaster, Ronnie Allen Maree of York. She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. The family will receive friends and family, Friday, October 19, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw and other times at her home, 4863 Kershaw-Camden Highway, Heath Springs.
