Emma Jean Bellamy Goodman, age 77 of Greenville and formerly of Kershaw, passed away, Friday, October 11, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Born in Loris, SC, she was a daughter of the late Robert Llewellyn Bellamy and Claudia Cox Bellamy. Mrs. Goodman was the administrative assistant for Kershaw IGA which she and her late husband owned and operated before their retirement. She was an active member of First Baptist Church before moving to Greenville, where she served in various capacities. Mrs. Goodman was also a former member of the Kershaw Lioness Club and King Alfred Garden Club.

Mrs. Goodman will be laid to rest, in a private service, next to her late husband, Walter Dow “Walt “ Goodman who predeceased her in 2010, in Kershaw City Cemetery, Kershaw, SC.

The family will host a gathering on Sunday, October 27, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with words of remembrance spoken at 4:00 p.m. at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, 17 Pinckney Street, Greenville, SC.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Kelly Pittman and her husband Mark, Bobbie Faulkenberry and her husband Mike and 2 step-children, Todd Goodman and Kim Barnett and her husband Greg; 4 grandchildren, Mark Pittman, Jr., Luke Pittman, Grace Clayton and her husband Caleb and Riggs Faulkenberry; 8 step-grandchildren, Brittyn Johnson and her husband Mitch, Sarah Ashley Barnett, Brandon Goodman and his wife Mary, Cody Goodman, Tiffany Goodman, Tyler Goodman, Dillon Goodman and Madison Goodman.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Goodman may be made to Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Road, Greenville, S.C. 29607.

Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw, S.C. is serving the family of Mrs. Goodman.
