Jay Lynn Horton

Jay Lynn Horton, age 59 of Kershaw, S.C. passed away, Saturday evening, June 22, 2024, at MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown, Columbia, S.C. Born in Lancaster, S.C. he was a son of the late Wilbur Lee Horton, Sr. and Joyce Ann Robinson Horton. Jay was an excellent auto mechanic. He loved drag racing and spending time with his grandchildren. 

Jay is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Peggy Sue Catoe Horton; his daughter, Natasha Lynn Horton; his son, Jason Jay Horton; 4 grandchildren, Devon Eason, Chase Eason, Colby Horton and Colton Horton and his brother, Lee and his wife, Sherry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Francis Horton and Lonnie Horton.

A time of gathering to visit with the family will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw, S.C. Mr. Horton will be cremated following the gathering.

The family will be at the home of his daughter, 121 S. Mine Street, Jefferson, S.C. 

Memorial remembrances in memory of Mr. Horton may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
