Funeral services for Jason Robin Hewitt, 33, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 5, 2010, in Antioch Baptist Church, Lancaster. Burial will follow in the Abney Baptist Church, Kershaw. The Revs. Trent McLaughlin and Eric Boone will officiate.
Mr. Hewitt died Friday morning, September 3, from injuries received in an automobile accident. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Rev. Robin and Nancy Payne Hewitt. He was a wire saw cutter with Georgia Stone, Inc. Mr. Hewitt had previously been employed as a mechanic with Lugoff Toyota and Dick Dyer Toyota. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing and hunting.
Surviving are his parents of the home, a daughter, Hannah Hewitt, a sister; Tiffany Hewitt a niece; Whitney Hewitt and special friend; Kate Shaw all of Kershaw. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; James and Martha Payne of Kershaw and his paternal grandparents; James and Betty Hewitt of Lancaster.
The family will receive friends, Saturday, September 4, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 515 West Pine Street, Kershaw.
