Jamie Lee Rowell, 47, of Liberty Hill, S.C. passed away, Friday, June 11, 2021. He fought his battle with cancer surrounded by his family and friends supporting him. He was born in Lancaster, S.C. to Jennifer Lynn Blackmon Hankins and the late William Granson Rowell. Jamie was a processing supervisor for Haile Gold Mine Operations. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and grilling. Most importantly, he cherished the time he spent with his family. He was also an avid Clemson Tiger fan.

He is survived by his mother, Jennifer Lynn Blackmon Hankins and her husband, Don; his loving companion and wife of 30 years, Dana Byrd Rowell; 4 sons, Christopher Jewel Rowell and his wife, Madison of Indian Land, S.C., Zachary Lee Rowell and his wife, Jillian of Kershaw, S.C., William Isaac Rowell of Kershaw, S.C.; his daughter, Ginger Michelle Rowell and her boyfriend, Landon Collins of Kershaw, S.C.; a grandchild on the way; 3 brothers, William Gregory Rowell of Kershaw, S.C., Jeffery Granson Rowell of Cheraw, S.C. and Arba “Hank” Hankins of Fayetteville, N.C. and 2 sisters, Donna Croft and her husband, Chuck of Williston, S.C. and Stacey Hankins Fox and her husband, Matthew of Columbia, S.C.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted, Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Mr. William West will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Rowell may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
