James W. Holden, Jr.

James William “Fat Boy” Holden, Jr., age 70, of Kershaw, S.C. passed away, Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Lancaster Health and Rehabilitation Center, Lancaster, S.C. Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was s a son of the late James Dixon and Cleo Roberts Dixon. He was a graduate of Lancaster High School and was a former employee of the City of Lancaster.

He is survived by his daughter, Catie Lowery; 3 stepdaughters, Amanda (Chris) Harvey, Donna (Jeff) Moree and Crystal (Tracy) Walker; a stepson, Charley (Cary) Medlin and his brother, Ricky (Patty) Holden.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Baker Conference Center, 105 N. Minor Street, Kershaw, S.C. The funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. in the Baker Conference Center. Preacher Cotton Pate will conduct the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
