James Randall Sims, 72, of Heath Springs, S.C., passed away Friday evening, April 2, 2021, at his home. Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was a son of the late Raymond Rankin Sims and Lillie Adams Sims. Mr. Sims was a truck driver and had attended York Technical College. He was a member of Fork Hill Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era and was a member of Rich Hill Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his wife, who passed away, March 19, 2021.
Surviving are his 2 sons, Ken Scott Sims and Andy Sims; 2 grandchildren, Amy Sims and Trenton Sims and his brother, Danny Sims all of Heath Springs, S.C.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at 11:00 o’clock a.m. in Fork Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Heath Springs, S.C. Rev. Dale Walters will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service in the cemetery.
Friends may pay their respects and sign the register book, Monday, April 5, 2021, from 12:00 o’clock noon until 5:00 o’clock p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw, S.C.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Baker Funeral Home / James Randall Sims Funeral Services, 210 East Hilton St., Kershaw, S.C. 29067 to help the family with funeral expenses.
