James Everette Waites

The family will hold a memorial service for James Everette Jimmy Waites, 60, at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at House of Prayer, John Munn Rd., Bethune. Rev. Charles Watkins will officiate.

Mr. Waites died Sunday, December 26, at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, N.C. Born in Kershaw, he was the son of Eddie Woodrow, Sr. and Elizabeth Ellis Waites. He was an industrial electrician and attended House of Prayer.

Surviving are his son; James Andrew Andy Waites of Manning, a step-son; David Mitchell Wilson and a step-daughter; Lori Howard both of Kershaw, a grandson; Taylor Wilson, 2 brothers; Eddie Waites, Jr., of Lancaster, Henry Waites of Kershaw, 2 sisters; Mabel Welch of Frostproof, Fla. and Barbara Ray of Bishopville. He was preceded in death by a brother; Jerry Waites and a sister; Elsie Dease.

The family will speak to friends following the service at the church.
