James E. Robinson, Sr.

James Edward Robinson, Sr., 88 of Bethune, SC, died Monday, August 1, at KershawHealth, Camden. Born in York, SC, he was a son of the late Clark B. and Annie Mae Warren Robinson.

Mr. Robinson retired from Springs Industries and of Nazarene faith. He also served in the United States Army.

Surviving are 7 children; James E. “Eddie” Robinson, Jr. and his wife Pam of Chester, Wanda R. Lewis of Catawba, Randy Robinson of Monroe, NC, Nina Robinson of York, Mark Robinson of Monroe, NC, Cynthia Moore and her husband Tim of Bethune and Loretta A. Robinson of Clover; 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 5 great- great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Frances Pate of Westminster and Lois Dixon of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by 4 great grandchildren and 2 brothers, Daniel and Alan Robinson.

The family will announce plans for a memorial service at a later date.
