James D. Hudson

James Derrick “Jim” Hudson, 65 of Cheraw, S.C., passed away, Saturday evening, March 6, 2021, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, S.C. Born in Columbia, S.C., he was a son of Carolyn Lane Hudson and the late James Talmadge Hudson. Mr. Hudson was a loan officer with Hudson Loans, Inc., Cheraw, S.C. He loved the outdoors, camping, traveling and gardening. He was the best horseshow dad anyone could ask for.

In addition to his mother of Cheraw, S.C., he is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Emily Eller Hudson of Cheraw, S.C.; his daughter, Erin Elizabeth Hudson of Union Bridge, MD and his brother, Mark Hudson and his wife, Dania of Palm Harbor, FL.

Following Mr. Hudson’s wishes, he will be cremated and a private service remembering his life will be held at a later date.
