James Anthony Jim" Karl

Funeral services for James Anthony Jim Karl, 77, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 20, 2010, in Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.

Mr. Karl died Friday evening, July 16, 2010, at his home. Born in Fort City, PA., he was the son of the late Lawrence and Eulalia Moore Karl. He served as Operations Manager of ALLTEL , Kershaw Office and retired as District Manager. He was a member Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Camden, and Kershaw Lions Club. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

Surviving are his wife: Pat Karl of the home, a daughter; Cheryl K. Baker and her husband Roddy of Heath Springs, a son; Kevin J. Karl and his wife Toni of Irmo, S.C., 5 grandchildren; Joshua ( Caitlin) Baker, Matthew Baker, Susie Baker, Kayla Karl and Jamie Karl, 1 great grandson; Jake Baker, 1 brother and 3 sisters. He was preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters.

The family will receive friends, Monday evening, July 19, 2010, from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home.
