James Allen Faile

A funeral service for James Allen Faile, 64 of Jefferson, SC, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Thursday, July 23, 2015, in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Jefferson, where he was a member. The Revs. Terry Corder and Larry Reeves will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Faile died Monday, July 20, in KershawHealth, Camden. Born in Lancaster, SC, he was a son of the late James William “J.W.” and Luella Morgan Faile. He was retired from the Dupont Co. and was the former owner of the E-Z Quick Mart on Highway 151 in the Angelus Community. Mr. Faile was also the owner of Faile’s Farm, Mt. Pisgah and Boggy Branch Farm, Society Hill. He loved to fish, spend time with his grand boys and sell produce. Mr. Faile was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his wife, Sara Jane Poston Faile.

Surviving are his son, Randal Faile and his wife Jennifer of Kershaw; his daughter, Melissa F. Phillips and her husband Michael of Society Hill; three grand boys, Bradley, Bogan and Brody Faile; two sisters, Sylvia Hilton of Lancaster, Grace Hargett of Heath Springs; a brother, William Faile of Lancaster; two brothers-in-law, Richard Truesdale, of Lancaster, Curtis (Jan) Truesdale of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters-in-law, Kate Burris of Lancaster, Sandra (Theron) Williams and Judy (Jackie) Talbert all of Kershaw.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday, July 22, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, also following the burial in the church Fellowship Hall and other times at the home of his son, 314 N. Matson Street, Kershaw.
