Jacquelyn Hegler “Jackie” Watson, 83 of Kershaw died peacefully, Saturday morning, September 26, 2015, at her home. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late James Franklin and Sadie Mobley Hegler. She was employed with Springs Industries for 38 years. She also was a member of First Baptist Church and married to the late Thomas Mervelle “Tommy” Watson.

Surviving are two daughters; Shirley Davis and her husband Jay of Columbia, Chris Hudson and her husband Steve of Kershaw; five grandchildren, Micah Rollins and her husband Brandon of Kershaw, Cary Medlin and her husband Charlie of Kershaw, Darrell Montgomery of Kershaw, Erica Carter of Lancaster and Meghan Davis of Columbia; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, June Thomas and her husband Ed of Irmo, Dot Goodwin and her husband Coke of Camden and a brother, Bill Hegler of Murrells Inlet. She was preceded in death by a brother, James “Jim” Hegler, Jr.

A gathering to remember and share about her life will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home, Monday, September 28. Family and friends are invited to attend.

A private burial will be held in the Kershaw City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Watson may be made to First Baptist Church, Samaritan’s Purse, P.O. Box 67, Kershaw, SC 29067.

The family would like to thank Agape Hospice, including Maegan Twitty, Rhonda Michaw and Maureen Palmer for the love and care shown to Mrs. Watson and her family.
