Jack Waites Young

Funeral services or Jack Waites Young, 65, will be held Saturday, February 18, at 2:00 o'clock pm in Oakridge Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Bobby James will officiate.

Mr. Young widower of Jennie Louise Tarlton Young, died Thursday, February 16,2017, in Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster, SC. Born in Camden, SC, he was the son of the late Erskine and Laura Ruth Waites Young. He was a member of Oakridge Baptist Church and a graduate of Baron DeKalb High School. Mr. Young retired from Bowater.

Surviving are his daughter, Jackie Young of Kershaw; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Judy Baker and Sara (Mark) Bembridge all of Kershaw, SC. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Robert Young and Alan Young.
