Funeral services for Jack H. Plyler, 75, of Kershaw will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Baker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Gene Stokes will officiate. Mr. Plyler died Sunday, April 14, 2013, at his home. Born in Jefferson, SC, he was the son of the late Astro Lee and Annie Mae Wallace Plyler. He served 17 years in the US Navy, while serving he was also a Navy Seal. He worked as a technician at Duracell for 19 years and enjoyed carpentry and fishing. Surviving are his wife; Angelene White Plyler of the home, 5 children; Tommy Foster, Harold Plyler, Kayla McDonald, Wendy Foster and Billy Foster, 14 grandchildren; Landon McManus, Cody McManus, Jackson Foster, Hailey Foster, Jody Plyler, Buffy Plyler, Amanda Plyler, Mark Plyler, Jr., Ethan Centeno, Journey Prasacath, Kaida Foster, Brandon Foster, Joshua Foster and Hannah Foster, a number of great grandchildren, a sister; Shirley Hilton, 2 nieces; Marla and Karla and a nephew; Robin Heglar. He was preceded in death by a son; Mark Plyler. The family will receive friends, Monday, April 15, 2013, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 5708 Lockhart Rd., Kershaw, S.C. 29067. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
