Jacalyn Helen Watts

Jacalyn Helen “Jackie” Watts, age 73 of Rock Hill, S.C. and formerly of Bethune, S.C. passed away, Friday, February 21, 2025, at TerraBella Rock Hill Assisted Living, Rock Hill, S.C. Born in French Creek, West VA, she was a daughter of the late Sandford M. Synder and Ida Bernice Curry Snyder. Jackie was a graduate of West Virginia University and received her master’s from the University of South Carolina. She served as the librarian at McBee Elementary School, McBee S.C. for 40 years. 

She is survived by 2 brothers, Russell C. Snyder of Gaffney, S.C. and Maurice D. Snyder and his wife Delana of Rogers, AR and 3 sisters, Wilma T. Austin of Rock Hill, S.C. Debbie Copeland and her husband, Bennie of Rock Hill, S.C. and Bobbi Jerome and her husband, Maynard of Channahon, IL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeannett Watts.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 1, 2025, in the sanctuary of Bethel Methodist Church, 103 King Street, East Bethune, S.C. Rev. Jackie Knight will officiate. 

The family will greet friends following the service in the church Fellowship Hall.

Ms. Watts will be laid to rest in the family plot of Heavner Cemetery, Buckhannon, West VA. on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 11:00 A.M.
