Ira Dean Hammer" Hunter

Funeral services for Dean Hammer Hunter, 49, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 27, at First Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Rev. Bryant D. Fersner and Rev. Bobby E. Price will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 26, at Baker Funeral Home from 6:00 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lancaster County E.M.S. , P.O. Box 1809, Lancaster, SC 29721.

Mr. Hunter died Tuesday, August 25. He was born in Camden, the son of Ira B. Hunter and the late Bobbie Gilmer Hilton. He had retired from the Lancaster County E.M.S. Mr. Hunter was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Flat Rock Lodge # 178. He was also a US Navy veteran. Mr. Hunter was an avid NASCAR fan and loved fishing, eagles, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. He was predeceased by his wife, Vida Bradley Hunter.

Surviving are daughters, Beth Hunter and Kayla Hunter both of Kershaw; brother, Mike Hunter (Sherry) of Kershaw; niece, Kristen Galuppi (Greg) of Conway, and Stephanie Hunter of Kershaw; half sister, Brianne Fletcher of Virginia; and half brothers, Kyle Hunter and Cody Hunter both of Kershaw.
