Imogene Horton Catoe

Funeral services for Imogene H. Catoe, age 83, of the Mt. Pisgah community, Bethune, S.C., will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, Aug 18, 2023, in the sanctuary of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Jefferson, S.C. The Rev. Randy Creamer will officiate.

A burial service will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Terry Corder will officiate.

Mrs. Catoe died Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Pinedale Residential Center, Camden, S.C. Born in the Timrod community of Bethune, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Guy Horton and Margaret Morgan Horton. Mrs. Catoe retired from Mt. Pisgah Elementary as a teacher’s aide. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. She was married to the late Jimmie Catoe.

She is surviving by 2 sons; Mark Catoe (Denise) of Kershaw, S.C., Russell Catoe (Mary) of Lugoff, S.C.; 2 daughters; Michele Catoe of Camden, S.C., and Suzanne Bachelor (Don) of Boiling Springs, S.C.; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 17, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw, S.C.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Building Fund, 2140 McBee Hwy., Jefferson, SC 29718, in memory of Mrs. Catoe.
