Graveside services for Idell Bowers Mobley, 95, of Heath Springs will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 31, 2010, in Salem Cemetery, Heath Springs. Dr. Frankie Melton will officiate.
Mrs. Mobley widow of James Alton Mobley, Sr, died Wednesday, December 29, at her home. Born in Heath Springs, she was the daughter of the late James Richard and Rilla Truesdale Bowers. Mrs. Mobley was a member of Heath Springs Baptist Church where she served in various capacities, serving as Sunday School teacher, GA Leader, Hostess and W.M.U. and was a member of the T.E. L. Class. Mrs. Mobley was also a member of Springs Order of the Eastern Star Heath Springs Chapter # 259.
Surviving are her daughter; Aurelia M. Reeves and a son; J. Alton Mobley, Jr. both of Heath Springs, 4 grandchildren; Thomas A. Tommy Reeves (Debbie), Stacy McGee (Brad), Robert Scott Mobley and Melissa M. Burkett (Jeff), 7 great grandchildren; Brantley McGee, Reagan McGee, Jessica Reeves, Devin Reeves, Brelyn Burkett, Bryson Burkett and Alyssa Mobley, 2 sisters; Maxine Reeves (Linwood) of Heath Springs and Ruth Funderburk of Tradesville. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Richard B. Bowers, Sr. Herbert Lee Bowers and 2 sisters; Edna Blackmon and Yetteva Crenshaw.
The family will receive friends following the Graveside service in the Fellowship Hall of Heath Springs Baptist Church.
