Hubert E. Brown

Hubert Elliott Brown, age 84, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Monday, December 18, 2023. Born in Kershaw, S.C., he was the only child of Alton and Lena Elliott Brown. Hubert served in the United States Army. He retired from the South Carolina Department of Revenue where he had been a sales tax collector. He loved to fish and play golf. He was an avid Clemson fan, and he never met a stranger.

He is survived by 2 sons, Timothy (Letha) Brown and Reid (Wanda) Brown; 6 grandchildren, Derek Brown, Breanna (Joey) Martin, Caleb Brown, Ryan Brown, Ross Brown and Bode’ Brown; 4 great grandchildren, Allie Brown, Collin Brown, Karter Brown, and Lilah Martin. He is also survived by his special friend, Betty Thorne.

The family will receive friends, Thursday afternoon, December 21, 2023, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

The burial will follow in Kershaw City Cemetery.
