Henry Alex Fletcher

Funeral services for Henry Alex Fletcher, 89, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 7, 2008, in Bethany Baptist Church, Westville. Burial will follow in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The Revs. Von Cockrell and Craigan Blankenship will officiate.

Mr. Fletcher died Saturday, October 4, 2008, in Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, N.C.. He was the son of the late Marvin Gettys and Nancy Rebecca Truesdale Fletcher. He was retired from Dupont Co. Mr. Fletcher was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and a member of Flat Rock Lodge # 178. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army as part of McArthur's Navy.

Surviving are a son; Henry Michael Fletcher of Kershaw, two daughters; Mary Sue F. Vincent and her husband Don of Kershaw, Peggy Evon F. Rich and her husband Slim of Blythewood, four grandchildren; Angela Self and her husband Larry of Fort Lawn, Tammy McDaniels and her husband Travis of Rock Hill, Donna Krimminger and her husband Ray of Lancaster, Frankie Malloy and his wife Pattie of Columbia, Ten great-grandchildren and a brother; Bobby Fletcher of Lugoff.

The family will receive friends, Monday, October 6, 2008, from 5 to 7 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter, 8379 Flat Rock Road, Kershaw.
