Helen Wilson Self

Helen Wilson Self, age 76, of Heath Springs, S.C., passed away, Sunday, December 25, 2022, at her home. Born in Lancaster County, S.C., she was a daughter of the late William Jeff Wilson and Mary Hilderbrand Wilson. Mrs. Self was employed with Springs Industries Grace Bleachery for 28 years serving in the cafeteria. She loved to cook, read her bible and spend time with her family. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Plain Baptist Church and loved to serve others.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon C. (Ricky) Bowers; stepson, Joel (Donna) Self; 2 grandchildren, Ashley (Anthony) Knight and Brandi (A.J.) Adams; 3 step grandchildren, Steven Self, Sidney Faile and Taylor (Alex) Stofanik; 7 great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; her half sister, Peggy (Robert) Boone; her brother, William Floyd Wilson; her sister-in-law, Beverly Wilson; her brother-in-law, Robert Snipes and step daughter-in-law, Michelle Self. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Self; her son, Clyde "Chris" Christmas, Jr.;3 stepchildren, Roger Self, Sherry Faile and Deborah Shipman and 2 siblings, Linda Snipes and Jack Wilson.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 2:00- 3:00 p.m. in Pleasant Plain Baptist Church sanctuary, Kershaw, S.C.

Her funeral service will be conducted following the visitation on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Rev. Todd Montgomery will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
