Helen Elizabeth Sigmon

A funeral service for Helen Elizabeth Sigmon, 93 of Kershaw, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Tuesday, September 22, from the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. The Revs. William Heustess, Bryant D. Fersner and Sean Stroud will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.

Mrs. Sigmon, widow of Bernard P. Sigmon died Saturday, September 19, at KershawHealth, Camden. Born in Hickory, NC, she was a daughter of the late Marshall Grover Dellinger and Essie Lee Teague Dellinger. Mrs. Sigmon retired from Springs Industries and was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Marshall) Wray of Conover, NC; three sons, Aray Sigmon of Kershaw, Ike (Amy) Sigmon of Liberty Hill and Tim (Anna) Sigmon of Kershaw; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her sister, Betty Bobbitt of Hickory, NC; three sisters-in-law, Evelyn Hartzoge of Hickory, NC, Evelyne Caldwell and Izora Dellinger both of Conover, NC.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, September 22, beginning at 12:30 o’clock p.m. until 2:00 o’clock p.m. prior to the service.
