Harold Dorman

Funeral services for Harold Dorman, 76, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2010, in Kershaw Second Baptist Church. The Revs. Jamie Rogers, Hugh McKinney and Don Knight will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.

Mr. Dorman died Thursday evening, August 19, in Providence Hospital, Columbia. Born in the Buffalo Community of Kershaw, he was the son of the late Coley B. and Deanie Roberts Dorman. He was retired from the South Carolina Public Service Commission. Mr. Dorman enjoyed tailgating at the Clemson football games and taking trips to the mountains. He was a former Volunteer Fireman with the Kershaw Fire Department and a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife; Cecelia Teal Gardner Dorman of the home; 2 sons, Mark Dorman and his wife Taaka, Mitch Dorman and his wife Leah; a grandson, Nicholas Dorman; a brother, Ralph Dorman and his wife Phyllis and uncle; Roy Dorman all of Kershaw.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, August 21, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 401 Welsh Street, Kershaw.
