A graveside service remembering the life of Harold Thomas Catoe, age 82, of Kershaw, S.C. will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in Kershaw City Cemetery. The Revs. Eric Boone and Dr. T. Jason Moss will officiate. The burial will follow in the cemetery with Masonic rites.
The family will greet friends following the service in the cemetery and other times at the home.
Friends may pay their respects on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home.
Mr. Catoe passed away, Saturday morning, April 26, 2025, at his home. He was born in Bethune, S.C. to the William Clyde Catoe and Frances Inez Mangum Catoe. He was a faithful employee of Springs Industries Grace Bleachery for over 40 years retiring as a maintenance supervisor. He was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church where he was a former Sunday School teacher. Mr. Catoe was also a member of Abney Masonic Lodge # 211 and had served as past master and was a Shriner. Mr. Catoe received his diploma from Andrew Jackson High School where he was a proud graduate.
He is survived by his wife of 5 years, Judy Vincent Catoe; his son, Guy Catoe and his wife, Cathie; his daughter, Holly C. Hinson and her husband, Eddie; 4 grandchildren, Laura Knight, Courtney C. (Jonathan) Hinson, Ryan (Ashley) Hinson and Joshua (Anna Maria) Hinson; his sister, Frances Boone and 3 brothers, Wayne Catoe, Glenn Earl Catoe and Donnie (Diane) Catoe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Diane Waters Catoe on July 20, 2015. He and Diane were married for 52 years before her passing. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, William Raymond Catoe, Henry Kenneth Catoe, Sr. and Loretta Catoe Rodgers.

The family would like to thank Agape Hospice Care of Lancaster and his caregiver Freddie Rushing for the support given to the family.
