Gregory P. Gentry

Gregory Philippe Gentry, 53, of Bethune, SC, died Thursday, June 8, 2017, at his home. Born in Olympia, Washington, he was a son of John W. Griffith, III and the late Patricia Gentry. Mr. Gentry was a retired sergeant from the US Army and had served in the US Air Force. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, shooting, fishing , the outdoors and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife Kaylene Rhoads Gentry of the home and 4 sons, Aron Gentry of Bethune, SC, Kevin Gentry of Bethune, SC, Thomas Gentry and his wife Lona of Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico and Philippe Gentry and his fiancé Sariah of Bethune, SC.

A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at 11:00 o’clock a.m., in Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia, SC, with military honors. Burial will follow in the cemetery. Rev. Marvin Jones will conduct the service.
