Funeral services for Grace Roberts Roberts, 90, will be held at 3:00 P.M., Monday, November 2, at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Bryant D. Fersner will officiate.
Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Zoe Johnson Roberts. Mrs. Roberts died Saturday, October 31, at Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she had taught the intermediate Sunday School Class, served as W.M.U. Director for 20 years and was a member of Kershaw Senior Citizens. Mrs. Roberts had retired from B. C. Moore and Son's as a sales clerk. She was married to the late James Thomas Roberts.
Surviving are her daughter; Caroline R. Clyburn and her husband Ernest of Lancaster, three grandchildren; Ernest Benjamin Clyburn and his wife Elisha, Sally Clyburn Rothkopf and her husband Howard and Betsy C. Clyburn and her husband William R., all of Charleston, 11 great grandchildren; Hannah Lyles, Sarah Lyles, Samantha Clyburn, Caroline Grace Rothkopf, Rachael Clyburn, Ryan Rothkopf, Virginia Grace Clyburn, Matthew Rothkopf, Aaron Rothkopf, Rebecca Clyburn, and Catherine Clyburn, three sister in laws; Eula Roberts, Lorraine Earley and Margaret Holley, a special caregiver; Marlene Adams and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son; Tony Roderick Roberts and six sisters and four brothers.
The family will receive friends, Monday, November 2, prior to the service from 1:00 2:30 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at 4553 Mill Creek Road, Kershaw.
